Onchan
I maintained telephone contact with constituents offering support during Covid lockdowns.
Successfully persuaded and worked with MMD the company who fully restored the Groudle Glen Water Wheel.
Working with the DOI and Manx Wildlife Trust to restore the Onchan Wetlands to its former glory and improve the path through to the green to enable disabled access and an all weather short cut from Lakeside to the centre of Onchan village.
Laxey
Lobbied the DOI, MU and DEFA to set up one flood team. Monitored the progress of the flood prevention measures. Liaised with the British Association of insurers and questioned the government on the situation for people who were not able to get insurance. Pushed treasury to try and join the UK flood RE scheme.
Working with Manx Utilities on the committee regarding the treatment of sewage. What ever solution is agreed needs resolving urgently.
Maughold
Raised concern regarding vehicle speed on the main coast road.
Supported the formation of a committee to address the housing of Maughold the Celtic Crosses.
Lobbied MT to increase broadband speed and connectivity.
